Hana Hassan’s passion for orthotics and prosthetics began during her pre-teen years in the Somali capital of Mogadishu after she witnessed a life-changing event in her family when a mortar attack hit her uncle's house and amputated him on the spot. This was a crucial event in the eventual creation of Ever-Care Orthotics & Prosthetics. Hana is a dedicated woman making waves to close the gap in the Orthotics and Prosthetics field. Hassan, a determined and resilient mother of two sets of twins was also dedicated to pursuing her dreams and returning to school to gain her bachelor's and master’s degree in orthotics and prosthetics.

Hana is dedicated to providing her services to the East African community, which has a history of barriers to gaining medical attention and services. She believes it is important for these clients to see a practitioner that looks like them, speaks their language, and understands their culture and needs. This way community members can understand and receive the services need and deserve access to.

Hana Hassan came to ADC after looking into more traditional financial institutions and seeing that we could fit the needs of her business better. Much like her desire to help bridge the gap in the orthotics and prosthetics industry, she saw that ADC has the same goal in the work that we do. Together we were able to help Hana accomplish her dream of opening the first-ever minority and woman-owned orthotics and prosthetics clinic in the state of Minnesota.
