She is retired from Federal Government’s Small Business Administration after 33 years of service in finance. Ms. Favors formerly served as a member of Northside Economic Opportunity Network’s (NEON) Board of Directors for three years. She also taught “Entrepreneurship for Communities of Color (ECC)” Program at North Hennepin Community College in Brooklyn Park, MN.
She is an active volunteer in providing counseling to entrepreneurs. Her experience includes working in Surety Bonds, procurement, contracts and grants management, small business development budget and finance, auditing, IT, real estate and accounting. She has graduate studies in Accounting and Finance at St. Thomas University. Ms. Favors holds a Real Estate Broker’s License and is an active Investor.
Ms. Favors has conducted over 500 seminars on “How to get Financing. She has many awards; however, her most notable accomplishment is serving the small business community by increasing financial awareness for minority, women, faith based and low income communities.
