ADC Contributes to Nobel Peace Prize Forum
The African Development Center was extremely proud to contribute to this year’s Nobel Peace Prize Forum with a session on Microlending. Presented to full crowds on both Saturday and Sunday, this panel discussion featured Hussein Samatar , Nasibu Sareva , Farida Mohamed , and Nimo Farah to highlight the impact that microlending is having in the world of economic development right here in our own back yard.
Aptly entitled Microlending Near and Far, this session examined the opportunities, challenges, and current uses of microlending tools and products. These topics fit perfectly with some of the overall themes and guests of the 25th Annual NPPF – such as Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus, and proved to be a discussion in demand as a result.
By request of the attendees, you will find the slideshow presentation used in the session above.
